UPPER CHARLES RAIL TRAIL︎︎︎
. On Upper Charles Rail, where history breathes,
. Through Milford's quarries, where granite sheathes.
. Trail winds 'mongst stones, a rugged parade,
. Whispers of labor in each granite's grade.

. Milford's heart, a quarry's embrace,
. The rail trail journeys through time and space.
. Granite tales etched in every rail's bend,
. A path through history, where memories blend.

The Upper Charles Rail Trail is a mostly unpaved route that connects to the paved Charles River Bike when it reaches the town Milford. The trails pass by the remnants of numerous pink granite quarries, rail bridges and tunnels.

To get to the start of the trail, use the $10 MBTA weekender commuter rail pass to travel from Boston North Station to Framingham Train Station. From there, the trail head can be reached by cycling along surface roads out of the city.
