LONDONDERRY RAIL TRAIL ︎︎︎
. Beneath the boughs where autumn's colors play,
. On Londonderry's trail, I cycle my way.
. Nashua's river trail, a scenic ballet,
. Nature's palette paints the trail so fey.

. Through Goffstown's rail trail, a path untold,
. Cycling through foliage, a sight to be extolled.
. Amidst the hues of amber and gold,
. Fall whispers tales, as the wheels in stories are scrolled.

This two day route encompasses the entirety of three different rail trails in two states. Beginning in Ayer Massachusetts, the Nashua River Rail Trail crosses the border into New Hampshire, diverting through the Mine Falls Park before following the road up to Merrimack River.

From Manchester, the route connects to the Goffstown Rail Trail. On the way back in Manchester, the route turns to the Londonderry Rail Trail, to return to Masachusetts with its endpoint in Lawrence.

To get to the start of the trail, use the $10 MBTA weekender commuter rail pass to travel from Boston North Station to Ayer Station. For the return, the same pass can be used from Lawrence back to Boston.
