This route travels all the partway along the Minuteman Rail Trail beginning on the Somerville Community Bike path and turning off in Lexington towards Woburn. After passing through downtown Winchester, this route follows the mystic lakes to the mystic river and reconnects back with the Minuteman Trail.
During the summer, the Mystic lakes offers several swimming spots depending on its water quality levels. kayak rentals are also an option to extend the trip into the water of the Mystic River near Assembly Square in Somerville.
