EASTERN SCARBOROUGH TRAIL︎︎︎
. Along Maine's Eastern Trail, marshes spread,
. Where reeds sway gently, and whispers are heard.
. Biking the path, with each turn I'm swayed,
. Nature's chorus, in parallel played.

. Through woodlands and meadows, a journey profound,
. To the ocean's embrace, where waves resound.
. At Bug Light Park, where dreams take flight,
. Pedaling the trail, in nature's delight.

Beginning in Saco Maine, the Eastern Trail passes through Scarbourough before ending in Portland. The trail alternates between dirt and paved paths as it passes through marshes and Maine suburbs before ending at a generous lookout point at the Bug Light Park in South Portland, which provides a panoramic view of the bay.

To get to the start of the trail, take the Amtrak Downeaster leaving from North Station in Boston to Saco train station. On the way back, you will take the Downeaster from Portland back to North Station in Boston.  Keep in mind that this train only runs on weekdays
