Deer Island Loop Trail ︎︎︎
. Off the ferry at Winthrop Pier, the journey ignites,
. Cycling 'round Deer Island, where harbor meets light.
. Wheels whisper on pathways, a rhythmic refrain,
. Nature's embrace, where the heart feels no chain.

. Boston's skyline afar, sea breeze in my hair,
. Deer Island's tales linger in the salty air.
. Pedals and waves, a symphony adored,
. Cycling echoes around, where adventure's stored.

A short ferry ride from Long Wharf, the trail loop around the wastewater treatment facility on Deer Island provides outward and inward views of the Boston Bay. On the way from the Winthrop Ferry Pier, stop at Yirrell Beach and Couglin Park to watch planes take off from Boston Logan Airport.

The way back runs along the East Boston Greenway Connector to the Maverick Station, where riders can take the Blue Lince back in to Boston.
